Custom shop American Standard, huh? Where's my checkbook?!
Seems like a straight up deal to me, especially the $300 for the case, since it would have come free with the guitar.
... hook me up
The difference between selling and over-selling. If he hadn't mentioned the Custom shop it would have been a somewhat agreeable ad.
At least people are putting out the warning on this local CL Kook...or maybe this add is from the same kook....Can you really trust someone, that cant spell Gretsch?
Maybe the fake from China literally said Gretsh on the headstock. Now that would be a sight to see.
I've gotten some great deals on Craig's List and have been able to sell stuff too but there are some shifty characters there and you have to deal with them. The listing I laughed at was "Smelly hairy ass for sale". It was taken down in a few hours so I assume someone was looking for one.....
Among the things that amused me...
Why no pics? Is there any legitimate reason not to include a pic in an ad? I’m at a loss.
Can’t be bothered to do a 5 minute web search to find out the year of the guitar? I’m sure he’s great at maintaining his gear as well.
Custom shop ordered a “Honey Blonde”? Wasn’t Jimi’s 1957 Strat Olympic white? Oh wait...that huge Woodstock/headstock...1957? Seller really knows his Hendrix that he was willing to shell out “almost” $1400 for back in the day.
Custom shop for $1400. Sign me up.
Case for $300...how much for a jack plate?
American Standard education I guess.
Looks like a good deal at first sight...
Btw.: Did Hendrix play a 57 Strat at Woodstock? Nooo!
Dont know about the guitar, but he says it comes with a stock black case without paying more. A separate "vintage tweed" case costs extra.
I will be keeping an eye out for your NSHAD post...Congrats in advance
I didn't buy it because it was already gone.....
If I didn't already have one, I would have bought it!
I like this one from eBay
There are people on this forum who can't spell Gertsch.
