Well I think I will be watching THX 1138, and Logan’s Run and a hand filled of other older movies while I’m not traveling. Any suggestions off the top of your heads?

    Brazil---pretty anything from Gilliam
    Metropolis---granddaddy of all Sci-Fi
    Buckaroo Banzai
    Streets of Fire
Cable channels Comet and IFC/Independent Film Channel are running MST3Ks on Friday nights. IFC adds a Python chaser in the morning.

TCM ran both of the earlier black and white Titanic films as well as" The Last Voyage" earlier in the week. Try to find "Raise the Titanic"---tho the movie totally changed the Clive Cussler's book ending.

I own an earlier copy of "Metropolis" (Queen soundtrack), but they have since found more of the missing footage from somewhere in South America. I got a copy of "Streets of Fire" because they rarely run it on TV.

They used to run "5th Element" at least once a week. It's been quite awhile since it's been on.

    Another classic is "The Professional".

    Older sci-fi: 13 Monkeys, Contact.
    Newer sci-fi: Interstellar, Gravity.

If you want to stretch your mind a bit, Kieslowski's Colours. Not genre films though.

Real classics, Seven Samurai, Renoir's Rules of the Game, Vertigo.

    Fun musical, Almost Famous.

My son will now be 15 in a couple of weeks. My daughter is 13. Those lives were a few or more years ago. About the time the Puss in Boots movie came out. Gotta love kids the Mario mustache was black so naturally, you have to wear it!

Although it’s rather frightening to see how far we have devolved into Ridley Scott’s vision of the “future.....”

From 1959, "The World, The Flesh and The Devil"
Harry Belafonte as a miner who was underground when what was essentially a neutron bomb killed everyone but left material things as they were. Fascinated me as a kid.

A bit of trivia. Apologies if you already knew. Lucas popped that named into a few other movies.
