I'd love to give the Wariner model a test play.

Me too. It'l probably take 4-5 years to really "dial it in" so maybe an extended test play? :D

I just ordered one of the new Candy Magenta Hot Rods - Should be here towards the end of next week if the estimated delivery is correct. Looking forward to trying out the ew compound radius fretboard on it and it's also the first Gretsch I've had with locking tuners

Thanks Larry, I'll probably do a video or something when I get chance so I'll post up when I have something.

Super good. I’m looking forward to seeing some luscious pictures. A video would be a bonus.

I’m actually surprised more people haven’t been talking about the compound fretboard. I thought that was a first milestone for Gretsch but maybe not.

Indeed, I think that's quite a big deal. I've grown up playing all sorts of Fenders and Gibsons and I think this will help with the playability lower down the neck. Will certainly be interesting to see if there is any noticeable difference to the feel from our our other 6120s

He records with them but doesn’t rate them as stage instruments.

That’s really odd they’re not good enough for stage. Maybe every player that has or still uses them on stage is simply pulling a Milli Vanilli with them. I would’ve never guessed it.

Maybe it's a confidence thing. But if that is what he feels, that's what he feels.

I just find it hard to believe a Gretsch doesn’t get a pass rating to qualify for stage usage. Maybe something was lost in translation or it’s a Bigsby tuning issue for his playing style. In which case there are non Bigsby guitar Gretsch options, so it’s probably just a comfort or preference thing. Note: I’m in no way shape or form talking trash about him.
