Since after a couple of week, the forum won't put updates into the 'recent posts' section, here's pretty much the end result.

First, the 'original' (or one of Fender's copies of it, who knows?).

Does it come with a voucher to get one’s blood changed in Switzerland every few years?;)

Killer, a little finger dirt ( added by new owner) and you can't tell the difference.

Awesome result... but you should have put your logo on the front of a slightly altered head.
Obviously, there's all the moral issues, but if I had your woodworking skills, I wouldn't be letting Fender take credit for it.

    How does it sound?

Nobody that looks at it will think it's a Fender, the lack of walnut plug on the headstock in one obvious thing. The headstock is actually slimmer than a regular tele.
It's more of a 'replica' for the die-hard KR fan.

Sounds great, hope to get some video Monday night.
