    en route

Made an offer over the weekend and it was immediately declined due to no longer available.

Seller wrote yesterday and apologized, he'd set up the add for 'weekend' or something and it shouldn't have told me to pound sand, and that he'd accept my offer if I was still interested.

    :)

    More time to write now.

That is a great sounding amp and probably a lot more practical than the traditional half-stack.

Thanks Sid, I have high expectations.

    Thanks Mac, I certainly will.

    Thanks Sync...it's all your fault

Thanks justlikeme ( :) ), pretty stoked myself. From what I read these repro's of the 18w 2061 are now 20 amps. It'll be about a week before I get her but I sure will.

Well, you have three of the major food groups covered, at this point. It’s been a while since I played one, but my recollections of the 2061x are very positive. Now, as soon as you get that new Winfield Tremor, you’ll be in business. :)

    What?

    (Ha, thanks again Sid)

Yes Sir, and am enjoying them immensely. This girl’s a beast, but the cousins can hold their own.

Bought this 3 button switcher just for them but have a noise issue here in this board I need to resolve and it needs some work anyway, but am having too much fun so far to trace it out. Plugging straight in is dead quite.

BTW, Tavo’s Mystery Brain...or should I say DAVE’s Mystery Brain, is outstanding

Is Mr. Winfield a member here?

With a board that complex, about all you can do is start isolating and try to pin down where in the chain the hum is occurring. My boards are both much simpler, yet I’ve had to go through the signal path device by device on occasion. I have, historically, used George L’s cables, which make it easy to custom fit lengths, but they are known to require re-termination from time to time, which has been the primary source of problems on the boards.

Winnie is a member, but he doesn’t post often. If you call him, let him know I sent you. He’s a square dealin’ fellow. I do love the Tremor and recommend it without reservation. I just finished up a session using it and my EarthQuaker Dispatch Master. Together, they make for a great early ‘60s sound.

Yup, and it’s a new issue that popped up when I put the 3 button Lehle in place of the two. It’s got some pots and switches the 2 button doesn’t and I’ve not read the new instructions over yet...been busy making noise and other messes. :)

I’d love to plug into all your Winfield’s, and the Twin, not to mention meet him, but like you said these cover almost all my amp desires and I am no longer lusting. But I saw a members post moments ago that I figured had to be from the Man himself.

Ha! Mr Thomas, pleased to meet you sir...no disrespect intended with my acquisitions, it’s just that I’ve been chasing these for a number of decades.
