    Had a need for one of these at the studio so I decided to whip one up. Black Limba body and wenge “fingerboard”. I used real frets for markers for no really good reason. Locking tuners. Gretchbucker with 1 meg volume and no load tone. Sounds nice and bright!

    Man, that's killer. I been playing a ton of steel lately and was considering seeing about having you build me a 7 string when finances permit. I still have that hunk of redwood too.

    David,

    I love your definition of "whip one up", it is kinda of like Michelangelo saying that the Sistine chapel was a sketch or doodle. This is amazing talent and artistry at its best. Please keep us in the loop, all I can say is wow, can't wait to hear it.

    There's lots of options, there are two G tunings on a six string, high bass (Dobro) and low bass ( blues) with a low D. With a 7 you can combine the two or any number of other keys. Thats probably what ill do, have a 5th on the bottom string. I have two 8 string and three 6 string steels now.
