    Hey there!

Here it is - my new guitar. It's a 2019 G2655 model in single barrel stain. For a more versatile volume/tone control i had some modifications done: R/C-circuit against treble bleed and some extra resistors to the pu-volume pots to make them go a little more 'linear'. For better handling i attached Schaller S-Locks.

Since images can say so much more than words......:

Plastic-switch-tip..... will be replaced for a decent metal tip

Desperately waiting for my "G"-knobs - yet the original plastic-knobs are still in place.

Why would someone post an image of a stopbar? just 'cause i like the pic so much.....look at those coloful string-barrels:)

could have polished the body before taking this pic.....

Great mod adding strap locks , and the case is a beauty too . But you should really invest in a jack plate . ( it's my pet peeve around here as the members know , it's all in good fun ) Beautiful guitar and congrats . Enjoy it

Wie schön! A chrome switch tip and "G" knobs will look terrific. I also recommend a jack plate. They are not expensive and give your guitar added protection.

    Welcome.

    Welcome to Gretsch-Talk, jmkoeln!

That's a great finish on that Streamliner. I played one just like it in a store a couple of days ago. It was so beautiful, I just had to take it down off the walk. I like mods you've got planned.

Fifth time (at least) I open your thread just to watch that photo again. I like it a lot.
Even tried a close up to see what it's looks:

Finally......after almost a week in hands of german customs and DHL my parcel arrived and in it were four beautiful, nickel plated "G"-knobs :-D...

After "converting" the split shafts of my pots to something that i could fit the knobs (made for solid shafts) on (using braided tube), i proudly present the all-nickel-hardware 2655:)

    Here's what it looks like:

Pretty neat pretty neat, pretty good pretty good.
I'd already considered doing so to my G2655T, and it really increase my envy to do so. That would be my first mod ever, but it looks real easy. Guess I should go for chrome, to match the rest of hardware.
    20190331 Sofa.jpg

Problem: these are pretty expensive in Europe / France (I've seen some at $18 on Reverb in the USA, 53 EUR at Thomann )
Did you buy actual Gretsch ones or another brand?

I ordered mine on ebay.... they came from Arkansas and were roughly about 30€ for 4 knobs. I went with the nickel ones since the rest of my hardware is nickel-plated. Some might not necessarily note the difference, since the coating is not really the same on all parts (stoptail/tuners/pups look totally different - so do the knobs....) You can only tell it is NOT chrome.
If your hardware is chrome, you should definitely go with chrome! That'll make your beautiful guitar a real shiny mother*****r:D!

What a beautiful collection! Envy???? Man - i just fell in love with all your guitars!
