A decent Strat needs to be in every stable. Here`s mine:

2nd and 4th position aren`t mine. I mainly use neck and bridge.

See if you can spot what I have here. This is a killer guitar and out of all my strats. Has to be the most quack your going to get.

My normal 'go to' solid body has been a Tele. I decided I needed a change and bought one of these, in this lovely colour:

Now, interestingly, Philip McKnight on youtube did a parts comparison between the new Mexican Player Strat and the old US Standard, discovering that virtually all the hardware, including the A5 pickups, has the identical part numbers and spec. So essentially you're getting a US Strat assembled in Mexico.
For unobtrusive home practise I play it through one of these with its dedicated extension speaker, giving a total of six mighty watts through two 3" speakers in stereo. I swear nothing this small and affordable should sound as good as it does-and I'm really picky about tone:

Not a quack guy, but I do love a Strat. I take mine with a three-position switch.

Is that a Hendrix Strat? How different does it sound than a regular Strat? Does the string tension feel different with the reversed headstock? Also, does the bridge position pickup yield warmer, less harsh tones?
