Got a grandson and 5 great grandchildren that live in Fayetteville, NC and they stayed. Not a chip off of the old block. My TV is on the weather channel 24/7.

The coast is getting absolutely slammed. I'm near Raleigh, and so far all we have had is some wind and a bit of rain. But, of course, the worst of it won't be here for some hours yet.

My dad, 86 and on oxygen, is in Charlotte. I was there during Hugo in 1989. All those pine trees fallen everywhere. What a mess. I'm not thinking it will be bad that far inland this time.

Lots of poor folks in the eastern Carolinas. They'll really take a beating financially. Prayers for everyone's safety.
