String guy here, I've played acoustic for 50 years, most everything with strings. Had a 65 strat I sold in 69, nothing electric since then. Well, I did have a transducer on a mandolin but that doesn't count.

Always loved Chet Atkins' sound and now-a-days Brian Setzer is a favorite.

Deciding between several of the Gretsch options but just signed up here & wanted to say hi.

I think I've narrowed it to the G6122T Country Gentleman & the G6659TFM Broadkaster Jr. Both seem pretty much ideal.

I was lucky enough to get a 6659 Broadcaster Jr with tremolo in vintage white in early December. It's pretty hard to put down. My main interest in this model was the thin body and reduced size. It really works for me and has a very acoustic quality when unplugged. Also, welcome.

Welcome and enjoy! But be forewarned, these Gretsches are highly addictive. :D

Welcome to G-T and enjoy the search for "the one". Or the first "one", or the first of several... well, as mentioned they can be somewhat addictive.

Welcome and good luck choosing. The correct answer to your question, though, is "both".
