Congrats and welcome to the Gretsch-talk!
Now THAT is gonna leave a mark. Welcome.
Congrats !! I'm seriously jealous.
Don't do that ... you might begin to love the Bigsby later. The only thing I myself would change is this uncomfortable bridge. But even that is no must, as long as it's rattle free.
And welcome from across the pond. That really is a good looking guitar you scored. Enjoy !
Removing the black paint from the one you have would look killer.
Maybe, but the V is definitely more beautiful, which I thankfully have on my Panther and Penguin
Furthermore keep in mind, that the gold layer is pretty thin and removing the black might lead in a silver/gold mix
Thanks again for your kind welcomes. Yes, still have the 5420. It's a great guitar in its own right, but the step up in quality from that to the Falcon is staggering. The Electromatic hasn't seen much use recently. I've got a Fender Jag that I'll be selling to help pay for this which, though another beautiful guitar, hasn't been out of it's case for months.
I don't think I'll be buying another electric for a while, though I need to do some more research on amps. Got a tweed BJr which I'm struggling with a little at the low volumes I have to play at.
Welcome friend , glad you found us
I'm a bedroom player too and the best solution is playing with headphones, be it an amp with headphone jack ... my Blackstar HT5R has even cab simulation ... or BIAS FX on iPad or PC/Mac:
BIAS or similar amp sims require an audio interface though ... around 100-150 bucks.
Welcome to the forum. Love that red guitar!
Hi! Just up the road from me; welcome aboard!
Cool! Where in Brum are you? I'm originally from Great Barr.
