What style guitar strap do you use?

this is one I just made this past weekend.
I was going for a vintage look.

It has adjustment buckles on both ends
And the shoulder pad has a tapered curve for comfort.

That's a heck of a strap you've made! Very nice work.

I'm always on the lookout for a nice strap and typically like vintage style. To this day, my favorite strap is a thin black leather vintage style that I've had for over 30 years. I actually have two of them and they differ in design from today's vintage style straps in that they use the same style size adjustment as straps like Fender straps as opposed to buckle style. I'd love to find new straps that use this method.

I also have an El Dorado Durango-Suave Black on Black soft leather strap that is inanely comfy.

    Nice work!
For my tele I like a wide leather strap.
For hollow bodies I like the thin leather with the shoulder pad.

Member RichMoo made this for me in 2015 . Best $60 I spent . Spoke with him on the phone at the time and he said although he was going to retire soon ( at that time ) He also mentioned his health was failing too . Haven't seen him on the forum since . I think of him from time to time and only hope he's well IMG_0297.JPG IMG_0296.JPG

    I have always used a Levy’s M1.

I had an idea for a custom strap, all the logos that my local football and hockey teams have used, but the guy I thought could do it said he was worried about copyright.

I have pins of all the logos, I might find some way of attaching them to a strap.

But I worry about metal and buckles and scratches.

As much as I dig vintage style leather straps (Gretsch, Fender), nothing beats the comfort of a plain cotton strap for me (Planet Wave, D'Addario). I have one for each of the 25 guitars/basses in my collection.

I know they're not high end straps, but I really like the higher end Perri's straps. The suede and leathers are good quality and durable and they are still usually under 30 bucks. I've bought most of my straps either on sale or with MF member credits.

Wow great work. I've kinda gone all tweed style strap, it has the right amount of grip for me. Mostly use Levy's or fender.

I just use the Comfort Strapp. Ordered it off Amazon. Have about 6 of them for my guitars. All outfitted with straplocks.

I'm easy. My daughter bought me a padded Levy's strap that's very nice and comfortable. I still have a $5 Gibson strap that's got to be 50 years old or more. Braided cloth straps are fine with me---I have a few of them. I just want a strap that doesn't fall off.
