I've been wanting another Filtered GreTsch and had been thinking 6120-1959LTV or 6122-59. Also aware I play my big girl more than any others. Since there's no substitute for cubic inches and I love salt and pepper I just bought this Silver Falcon to match with my White. Note she sports Dyna's and a Caddy tail.

Like my White Lady she's also a 125th anniversary in pristine condition. These are the sellers pics and the only 2 that were a jpeg I could download. He's also offered either the original case or a vintage one. I told him if it doesn't smell I'd like the vintage, otherwise the original.

    Thoughts on the case choice?

Vintage case was a great score imo... you can pick up a contemporary Gretsch Falcon case at any dealer for a song, so grabbing the other given the opportunity totally makes sense... and beautiful guitar, btw! Congrats!

I'd go with the original case because THAT'S THE ONE IT CAME WITH ! ( but the vintage is nice too because I like way @Jimi D thinks )

Because it has Silver binding, hardware & truss rod cover.
The White & Black Falcons have gold.
Although it’s black in finish they call it The Silver Falcon..
