Last year, GuitarGuitar held a Gretsch Day to celebrate the arrival of some USA custom shop guitars (ordered over five years ago). Damon the Gretsch rep also brought along a collection to add to the display. Here are some photos

The Ray Butts pickup equipped 6120:

It was lovely but I thought it was quite low output

Here’s the custom shop Duo Jet:

And here’s my favourite the custom shop Penguin. I don’t know if it was the pickups or the bridge but it sounded like there was some in built slap-back going on:

Finally, a non-custom shop model but one I had to stop myself from buying: the vintage select Duo Jet.

    Hope you enjoy.

Very nice. Epsom isn't too far for me. I used to go there regularly when I lived in south London. It's a little further now. Took my (now) wife on our first dinner date to a steakhouse just by Epsom racecourse.

Nice, there is likely a Gretsch for everyone’s taste there.

That’s a truckload of great guitars!!

I’m jealous! Only a small handful of Electros and Streamliners at my local GC.

It’s really nice to see Gretsch doing so well. Look at all of those beautiful models........the brand has really surged in popularity again and it’s just real cool to see. Go Gretsch!

It’s about time a shop here in the U.K had a decent amount of gretsch guitars in stock.
It’s sad when you have a better collection of guitars at home that the average shop has theses days.

Awesome photos! I think I bought a Marshall 4x12 cab from GuitarGuitar in Epsom years ago ... not 100% sure but was definitely a guitar shop in Epsom!

Even though I already have a Jet, I think that vintage select would get my vote over the CS Penguin ... close call, though: both stunning!

I don't think I could pick a winner, the flame maple jets are just awesome and do love the penguin, also like the ray butts 6120, love the colour and the cream pic up centres.

I think the coolest thing there is the fact they put twin 6120's one RH and one LH on the wings of the display stand.

Imagine a sweepstakes where you would win 2 minutes in that shop to select any one guitar of your choice as the grand prize. Ticket to enter costs $100. (USD). No previews allowed. Offer expires at exactly 2 minutes.
