About a year ago, I bought my first Gretsch. It was a Korean made double cut version of a white falcon. I play contemporary Christian worship music... and that inexpensive guitar became the most requested guitar in my arsenal because the tone is just amazing.

Got tired of hearing “complaints” when I showed up with my tele or my strat (both very nice guitars) so I sold ‘em both and ordered a G6136T-59 brand spankin’ new. Can’t wait to get it in but, thought that since I’m now officially a 100% Gretsch man, I might as well join this group!

    Thanks for having me!

I’ll try to remember to post a pic of the new guitar, the Falcon, when it comes in. Believe me, I’m more anxious to see it than you are! Used to be a Gibson man... switched to Fender... now, I’m 100% Gretsch. Can’t hardly believe it... but dang... they just have amazing tone.

    Howdy! Welcome aboard.

You ought to look at the Bono Irish Falcon. Perfect for praise bands---the pickguard reads "The Goal Is Soul!"

F0C2DD4C-97F6-45CB-8E4C-E33599DE7ECD.jpeg Here’s my new Falcon. She’s a lovely creature. Wasn’t expecting the “vintage” white color, presumably to match the yellowing that would’ve occurred with a 60 year old guitar but, I really like it because it tones down the bling a good bit. Weird pick, just snapped it as we were tearing down the the stage after a performance. Oh, did I mention... the tone is AmAZiNg on this guitar.
