Musician’s Friend Stupid Deal of the Day today is the Egnater Tweaker 15 112 combo amp for $329. This is a great price on a very versatile all-tube amp! https://www.musiciansfriend.com/stupid?icid=210190

Does it sound exactly like a Fender, Vox, or Marshall amp? No - but it does get pretty darned close with the tone stack, gain, and voicing switches. It’s also a good introduction to tube amps with the capability to readily swap preamp and power tubes to change the flavor. I’ve owned the head version of this wee beastie for over 5 bears and am still enjoying the tones I get from it.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU’RE CONSIDERING TAKING THE PLUNGE INTO THE WORLD OF ANALOG GLASS BOTTLES!

Looks like a pretty cool deal. 6V6's, multiple voices, good cab size. Is the "Tweaking" digital? (hope not!)

No, the tweaking is all analog - changes to gain structure and tone stack. Its a very versatile amp!

Doesn’t have reverb but it does have an excellent tube-buffered effects loop. I run my TC Electronics HoF reverb and my Boss DM2W delay through the loop.

All the Egnater amps are great imo.
    I owned a Rebel 20 and then a Rebel 30 and I've played Tweakers.

No they don't sound like comparable wattage Fenders, Vox or Marshalls cos they are better imo.
They sound better, are much more versatile, are much lighter and cost half the price :)

Appears to be sold out. :( (Not that I needed an amp. I had looked at Egnaters several years ago.)

Wow, this is really high praise. I may give these another look.
Any thoughts on Hughes & Kettner?

I've not played many H&K so would not like to comment on them.

I'm serious about Egnaters - the Rebels and Tweakers are probly the best value for $$ tube amps made the past 10 years imo. I got my 20w Rebel 20 for $450 and later the 30w Rebel 30 for $550 new in the US.
And cos they have a dual power source I could plug them directly into the 240V mains in Aust.
And shipping was cheap cos they are super light lunchbox sized :)
