Does anyone out there have one of these?
It’s new at guitar center
Just wondering if there any good.
i played one and preferred it to the MIJ gretsches i played right next to it.
No but OMG that is a breathtaking looking guitar, wonder how it sounds? what is the price?
I don't have one, but all of the 54xx-series Electromatics are excellent guitars. I tried out an orange 5422T last summer and thought it was wonderful. I'm sure this one is too. And it's gorgeous! The red-and-white finish is really resonating with me as a Canadian.
I've had the first of the 5422TG's to hit the States since '12. It's been a great guitar, and I love the chunkier neck profile that's on mine.
Over the years, Gretsch has made some small updates, and special runs have been offered.
All that I can say is that the overall quality of these instruments is far above their price point.
I have one of the walnut ones. It’s a cracking guitar and I’m gigging it tonight.
It’s $899 off the rack
I don’t have a gold one, but my 5422 is a beautiful wonder in every way.
DO IT !!
Those red and white ones are real lookers for sure, and nice guitars. I have one of the walnut 5422TGs for sale. Great guitar, but I don't have time to play it, I got it in a trade and then picked up a couple of Pro Lines and it has sat in its case since then. I had it set up a few months ago in preparation to put it up for sale, but haven't got around to listing it anywhere.
I have the earlier model double cut... I have a 2011 Gretsch 5122T in walnut.
It's a sweet guitar and, even with the stock "Gretsch-buckers" pickups, it sounds really great! I did tweak the pickup screws, as per various threads on here, and gave it more clarity and an overall balanced tone.
It's just a standard G5422 with a red back and logo.
One of the best value for $$ mid priced guitars available today imo if you want a great hollowbody
I'm sure you could negotiate it down or at least get a free case and some accessories.
I played the exact one, It is a very beautiful guitar to look at and plays VERY nicely. But I already have a proline and the anni I ended up getting was not out f the question, so I went with another proline. But for that price that you may easily negotiate, I say you cannot go wrong!
not a bad price for a guitar of that caliber!
GC currently has those listed ay $1000, so maybe you should be heading back to the store.
It was $999
I have a 2018 5422-tg and it’s a fantastic guitar for the money. I highly recommend them.
