Very cool wood grain!
I love having all the plastic stuff in gold and all the metally bits in nickel.
For me that is classic GreTscH and I love it!
I don't like to hide the guitar as some have said, but my grain's not as nice as some of what you guys have. Its there, it just doesn't show as well. That gold and chrome looks good together actually. I think for me it's the orange tone, I love it but I see the same combos a lot. Not saying anything, just not much to really many options to chose from. That green and gold's pretty killer. I was thinking about experimenting with wood rings and PG last night. Hmmm..... tortoise.....
That grain looks great, and that torty pickguard is awesome.
Hope I didn't mislead anyone there. That pic's just an example of what I was thinking of doing whne I mentioned tortoise shell. Mine's a 5420T with the stock milky silver color. Ya Outlaw I hear yuh there, I love the classic look of nickel. Pretty sweet.
I'm a fan of clear pickguards, but I also love the silver ones. I had this one reverse-engraved for my 5620:
Man, that orange sparkle pops! A beauty!
As you can see in my profile pic, I went clear and think its the cats. The silver looked cheap to me but to each their own, some really dig it.
Clear on the 6120ec and brown on the broadkaster.
Not sure yet but there's just somethin' about this one against the orange that I really like. From a distance it wouldn't be so busy, not that that's always a bad thing if done right. But it would sure pop. Does anyone have this pickguard on theirs?
That's a cool look. It reminds me of The Specials, or early Elvis Costello.
Haha! Heck Ya!
My wife saw that checkered pickguard last night and said it was 'Very Cherry Poppin' Daddy's Lookin.'
