After my first mod day in the previous post I ended up here: I had to re-order tuners and the Compton and Biggsfix were on still route from the states. But now everything arrived so here we go! First of all Kudos for Schaller and their endless configuration options. Check out the combinations just for the M6 tuners i got: https://schaller.info/en/m6-series/ I went with the M6 135 in satin chrome with small perloid buttons with locking 21mm posts. The perloid costed a bit more, but they aren't cheap to begin with and then you might as well make them stand out, i figured they would go well with the pickup covers. Next up are the Compton and Biggsfix. It's not a standard compton, but something Wayne makes specially for jets, and of all the mods I did on this guitar, it's the most impressive. It doesn't only help with the sustain of the guitar, it also makes it resonate more. It now feels like my Les Paul where everything just feels more connected. And without further ado: It's been a very nice project for me, sourcing all the exact right components for this guitar. In the end i have invested more in mods than the initial price of the guitar, but since the build quality is really good that doesn't matter to me, and you can't buy a taylor made guitar like this off the shelve. The top mods for me are the Compton bridge and the T-90 neck pickup, they give a very insping feel and sound. The pickup sounds also very well in the middle position with the Classic+. My one dissapointment is that after all this the guitar still won't stay in tune after a bigsby wiggle, so I still have some nut work to do.
