I've never played with a fuzz pedal,but I don't need to.
They have never been interesting for me.
How is this even possible?!
Whoooo - old thread, but Fuzz is what I'm into for some months now....
Had one (good one) for long time and loved it for the Jimi-tones, which are in it. Turn down the volume on your strat and you get little wing, axis: bold as love, 1983, purple haze, etc...
Meanwhile I found out, that even fingerpickin' can sound AWESOME with a fuzz and turned down volume on my Gretsch !!! I' have been warned of - Fuzz can be an addiction...
Well currently waiting for a package from Analogman ...
I really want this. Damned expensive and to be honest, I think I just like the box. Fickle for fuzz!
I love fuzz. We are in a great fuzz era. Whether you are looking for classic rock or insane noise. There are a lot of awesome builders out there creating or recreating and modifying some pretty awesome circuits.
This one is really cool and only $80 US.
I had built one, but she's now sold - she had that Hendrix sound as expected, with that progressive cleaning when backing the volume. I used a Cornell FF box :
What Nocturne fuzz pedal would get me Robbie's sound here?
I don't buy the official story that it's just a 4x10 Bassman.
I'm a fuzz luver! I'm gettin me a One Ton Bee very soon.
Dunno bout the fuzz but kool vid!
That fuzz name remind me this :
I had built a version of the FuzzRite in the past. Her sound was close, but not as "electric welding" as the Venture's 2000 Pound Bee...
Thats what they were going for, its my favorite fuzz right now.
I have never bought a dedicated fuzz, my RC Booster or Barber LTD sr are what I use to drive the input of my amp to get the fuzz I want at volumes I want. For me it works but lately I have been looking at the Xotic Soul Driven. I like what I have heard from it so far just waiting to get ahead a bit before I buy one.
I found this one on sound cloud, AH Soul Driven Don't know who it is but wanted to hear one outside of youtube. Nice an mild to me. I do wonder how fuzzy it can get youtube has some good vids but you know youtube, never quite what you get in person.
Last weekend I played a gig where, for the first time, I used Les Paul > fuzz > amp, controlling the amount of fuzz from my guitar volume controls. It worked really well, brightening up the LP when backed off and providing thick chewy sustain when dialled up.
Yes wildeman ! Excellent Psychedelic Soul tune.... Dirty organ plus Buzzing Fuzz !
This drives me to think that I should rebuilt a correct FuzzRite - by the way, do you know the Fuzz used by The Turtles on this tune ? I think that its on the bass guitar, right ?
I own two fuzzes I really enjoy. The infamous Gooby Bag of D***s (Jordan Bosstone based) and the Tone City foxx tone clone.
Not sure what they're using but its THE sound for me, the Bee gets that kinda tone.
Sounds like they were hanging out with the Mothers
Not happy with my Big Muff "pie" . Just not for me ...... go ahead , make a reasonable offer and I'll pay shipping
