new member tdtom here in NZ. Been wanting a semi-hollow electric and settled on a G2655 junior with V stop tailpiece. First new guitar, first one to play it... I think. The box was still stapled shut. Tag on the tuner knob informs me that it was built in Indonesia, Feb. 2018. Quality card says it went through Fender warehouse in San Bernadino, Ca and was then shipped to NZ in September. I took posession the first week of October 2018. I had some learning issues with volume controls that kill the entire middle selector switch position but I'm going to leave it and continue to enjoy it. Looking forward to reading forum posts as I get time. Cheers! tdtom

forgot to say... it is Torino Green

thanks audept. not sure yet how to post pics to the forum. I'm in the Far North region of the North Island. I see that you are listed as residing in our West Island.

thanks calebaaron. I'm used to olive drab so this shining green is perfect.

We have had a number of members from the Southern Hemisphere, Kiwis, Aussies and the occasional South American. I don’t recall anyone from Africa, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some.

I have spent a lot of time in New Zealand, mainly the large cities, but I have a soft spot for Wanaka and the Gibbston Valley

thanks for all the welcome feels. As I get deeper into this, I have discovered a reason as to why people get new guitars on a regular basis. The smell! scent coming from the F holes has replaced the "New car smell" as a favorite. It may be addictive. Further study is needed. Besides, new cars depreciate so fast... and they really don't smell the way I remember them.
