No more than it did with them buying them from Gretsch.

I guess this is the question we will have to wait to see. I can certainly see them going in and streamlining the process, sorta like when Heritage Guitars in Kalamazoo started bringing in the CNCs and laying off the craftsmen.

Well, by now the only realistic option is wait and see.

And, anyway, as long as the customers want sandcast stuff, there will be sandcast ones - although the actual casting process doesn't really affect anything regarding function, a lot of preferences is just about looks and about still being as it was back then ... if this affects sales, they are likely to know, so they are just as likely to keep it as it always was in their own interest.

Anything additional they may introduce later on is just another option one may like or not, and so will buy it. Or not.

If Gibson had bought Bigsby, I'd worry about it in total. Fender ... hm, wait and see ... as Gretsch didn't discontinue the ones you don't see that often, the 11, 12 and 16, I hope Fender won't do so as well.

If Bigsby was going to be sold I think Fender is the best option, they have done well by Gretsch.

    ha ha no.

I got into Gen Benz when I was on a doctor ordered no more than 10 lbs lifting ban. Bought a little 8 inch combo - 13.5 lbs and 175 watts - to keep me going and fell into deep like with it. Hits WAY above its weight class. Awesome gig rig for small to medium sized gigs.

Funny, Gibson owned Bigsby throughout most of Gretsch's golden years.

Well, maybe it wasn't a problem back then, as Gibson wasn't always in troubles like the last few years.

I wonder how long before they go after anyone that copies the Bigsby headstock...

I want a Bigsby that when you turn the handle all the way back it locks in place.

Yeah! Look out Fender! Oh, wait a minute...

I hope they put the Bigsby line under the supervision of Joe Carducci. He has done alright by us

Looking at the headstock, he had some long term plans!

I hope they'll built the US Bigsbys like they do since the Fifties. Worst thing would be a "perfect" looking Bigsby with the generic slick computer CNC treatment like the licensed ones.
