Love the LPB Strat of course. $43,000 a little steep for me though. Maybe I could do a Go Fund Me page?

I'll take the 54 and that blue one!

The prices for these type of geets always make me laugh, i don't even own a house!

    Lovely geets though.

I wonder how many Jim Irsay will buy. There's plenty of room in his vault.

Funny I had thought about putting a Jim Irsay comment in my post too.

I dont really know much about him, but I thought he collected specific guitars played by famous people. These just seem to be NOS. There's nothing special about these except for age.

Indy news did a short bit on Jim Irsay's vault. Lots of famous folks' instruments, like each of the Beatles. Tons of nice stuff. I guess he does play, so they don't just sit. He's got people that are caretakers for the collection. It's only 60+ miles away, but I'll never get to see 'em. He inherited a NFL team and stadium, and has more money than we mere mortals can imagine.

As you said, there's nothing really special about these Strats---aside from the price tags.

I don't know. The few '50s Fenders I've had the chance to play haven't been nothing special or stale. I'd take one of these.

Roger that. I have played a 1956 and a 1957 Stratocaster and frankly, I don't want either of them. Every one of my Strats is better.

    Fender craziness.

I do LOVE Fenders (14 Teles and 4 Strats worth).

BUT, I've found that if you're handy with a screw driver and a soldering gun, you can buy separate Fender necks and bodies (each precisely chosen to your fancy, in every respect), then shop for your ideal pickups, electronics, and bridge... and then put together your "dream Fender" that plays every bit as nicely and sounds as good as (or better than) the "stupid money" Fenders. For "smart" money! ;)
