Anyone have one, how are they?
I've played a couple. IMHO, depends on what you would want to use it for. Could work well for home use but even then without tone controls you might have to punch the volume a fair bit to get a decent tone. It will all depend on what makes you happy, and that's what it's all about. If you purchase one I'd do yourself a favour and replace the tubes right away.
Thanks Robbie, looking for something small for the living room that has decent low volume sound for practice. Thanks for the tube tip, i think i'll check it out.
It might be the ticket for you then, they look great too. IMHO, tube replacement would be a must and I think would help quite a bit with what you want to do.
Turns out the tubes have been upgraded, gonna check it out this afternoon. Thanks for the advice
I had an Excelsior from that series and it was very cool. A couple guy's here have Vaporizer's too.
Is the Ramparte the one that looks like a '50s Gibson?
Well pulled the trigger on it. Gotta say i'm pretty happy with it. Simple and to the point little amp, the clean channel is nice and warm. Should be a great living room amp. And the wife loves that it doesn't look like an amp lol
Looks great, tweed Champs don't need no stinkin tone knob.
Hey, you can always try those other knobs on the guitar.
Way to go !!!!
Thanks again for the advice sir
