I need to find the Fender Oxblood grill cloth that matches this picture of my blonde/oxblood head.

There is no gold stripe. It is just dark Oxblood (maroon) with some little horizontal stitching.

Having trouble finding any that match this perfectly and it’s driving me crazy!

Antique electronic or Mojotone don’t have any that look similar.

I doubt the head's grill cloth is original. Most oxblood I've ever seen has the horizontal gold stitch. I'd just replace it's cloth at the same time personally.

You're trying to match it to that new 210 cab right? I'd be satisfied with the mismatch... Literally most people won't ever notice and the 1 in 50 people (besides yourself) that do might be nuts anyway. You'll know, but if it's gonna bother you swap the head's grill.

It’s original. It matches every blonde/oxblood head I’ve come across

I still don't really see how any of it matters... :) but that's just me. I guess I'd just pick whichever one sounds best.

How big of a piece do you need? I have some that looks pretty dang close - no gold stripe. If I have enough I'll send you picture of it.

That’s the dimensions of the entire cabinet it’ll be going on. It’s a 2x10

I’m just kinda crazy about it. Wish I wasn’t... haha

I ended up coming across that website a few hours ago and decided to probably go with their version. It looks nearly identical over the computer.

Did you compare it to old grill cloth you were placing? Just wondering how it looks compared in person

Any chance you could post a picture of it?

Had a 62 Tremolux (two heads actually, only one cabinet). Had the oxblood without gold stripe. Seems Fender Supersonic in blonde tolex uses the same, there has to be a source.

    Approximately 18” x 28”

Yeah the supersonic stuff matches it spot on. I had a super sonic 4x12 cabinet I was going to take the grill cloth off it but then someone in my area offered me a stupid amount of cash for the cabinet so I couldn’t pass that offer up!

Wonder if you can somehow get Fender's source info? Don't think they make it, may possibly have some exclusivity agreement, but I doubt it.

I wonder if Vintage Sound amps would share their source? Raul Malo and Eddie Perez of The Mavericks play Vintage Sound amps. These match the cosmetics of the early 60s Fender Blonde tolex Oxblood grill cloth series, at least they appear to from my screen. Cloth might also be an exact match.

The largest 50's stuff I have is 24 x 28.5. There were staples around the perimeter ~1/2". Here a pic. The tape is running the 24" direction. Not sure if that orientation works for you or not. Just throwing it out there, no big deal. Also it's a bit more maroon than the pic shows. It's from 1959.

This isn’t quite the pattern I’m looking for, but thank you!
