The fabulous Samantha Fish
I posted Janis in the original post lol
Tiny Tim. Who can forget Tip Toe thru the tulips with me.
Tanya Donnelly. Videos over the last 30 years.
2018, with Gretsch content:
Where did you find that?
Love Tanya, Belly and Throwing Muses. I had planned on mentioning Tanya's step sister Kirsten Hersh, so now I will.
I was supposed to go to this show with friends but was sick. They trudged through snow and said it was great. Tanya is still there.
Do you wanna go there and tell them to "make it stop"?
I think the whole Shaggs as auteurs and savants joke has gone on way too long. The idea that anyone, let alone knowledgeable people like NRBQ and Frank Zappa, seriously think they're worth listening to is utter bull****.
1. Patsy Cline 2. Whitney Houston
We have seen them several times, you never know which talent will be in the show, but you will entertained for sure. Actually saw them four times, and we were given fine shows every time.
I see a lot of female singers I admire on this thread, and maybe I missed an entry, but I can't believe nobody has mentioned Amy Winehouse! What an incredible voice she had! I could listen to hear sing the multiplication tables and be happy about it (or sad- she could really channel heartbreak.)
Thanks Nick...as I hang my head in shame I can only mumble what’s been said by another...that was 6 pages and several days ago and I’m getting ol...to be amongst the more seasoned
You’re right I think we missed her so far
No worries I’ve been guilty of that myself on other posts
Pre '92 Whitney Houston.
Kate Bush and Eddy Reader sang backing for a friend of mine on a couple of albums.
Sharleen Spiteri - great live.
Meredith Brooks - ditto.
And here's a couple of ladies who had more of an effect on me than just their music (which I love as well)!
I was lucky enough to get to see Lene Lovich supporting the Psychedelic Furs in 2017. She's still got it!
I love Mama Cass and this song is one that always gets to me
