So.. If money was no object...!
This is what I'd build!! '58 Duojet body, laser etched steel full face plate (routed in 2mm so it sits flush) ..and various Gretsch parts.
    What do you think? :D

My fantasy Gretsch would be just a Country Gent, but with 3 pickups: P90 at the neck, Dyna in the middle, and Classic Plus bridge.

Basicly a 16" single PU Black Phoenix without S-holes. Powertron in the bridge, a Caddy tailpiece, brass Compton, and gold hardware.

A hollow (no center block) double cutaway White Falcon with T-Armonds, a v-cut Bigsby and a slimline brass d-bridge.

That might be a little bit of an optical illusion brought on by a bridge that's apparently taken off a 1/2 size guitar.

Nah, the action is too high. Yes, that bridge was taken off a custom telecaster modification..and yep, it's too small :) Gonna build a tru-arc bridge and get it on there and various other bits and bobs need sorting out. The top was the main visual experiment I was going for.

Luckily I was able to get blueprints online which made the building much easier :)

This custom Streamliner is pretty close to my fantasy mashup.

I think I'd make it even more 6120 and less Streamliner, keeping the ivory/copper finish, but adding a Bigsby vibrato and bridge, steers head inlaid headstock venner. But I think I'd stop short of a G-brand.

The kicker is this one could have been mine. It sold on eBay in the early 2000s for $3500. I could done it, but I was keeping my powder dry for a '58-'61 6120. I always regretted not going for this one. When it popped up on Fretted Americana's website about 10 years later, they were asking I think $9000.

I'd have a white Super Chet body with gold sparkle binding including the middle body binding, 55 Falcon headstock with vertical logo but with the Super Chet fingerboard inlays.
55 style knob layout and a pair of Dynas with a V Caddy G tailpiece.

In fact ,i'd also like one done with Filter Trons too!

If you are going to go over the top ,go over the cliff i say!:D

I actually drew this up back in the 90's for fun,i'd love to see a Photoshop mock up of it,if only i knew how to work this contraption i'm typing on!:D
