This was posted on Strat Talk, amazing ......
“Join together with the band”
- The Who
Would be cool to play for them...
Doesn't Ringo age at all?
Great video . Makes all my years of playing worth it .
Besides Ringo and Robbie (listen to these double-stops. wow) I never heard of anybody who is performing here.
Beautiful take on the song. Thanks for sharing.
That’s what makes it fun for me. The longer the vid goes the more diverse the countries, musicians, and instruments become all doing a 50 yr old song.
Very well mixed to allow each musician to make an appearance, yet not cluttered or jarring. A great song. Back in college, I played rhythm on acoustic on this song for a friend who sang this as part of his application for a drama program in London.
Sorry, the version with the Staple Singers is 1,000 times better:
The Staple Singers one is good; however they are very different animals. The weight has a vast array of artists filmed from all over the world on a wide variety of instruments, that is what creates the beauty and charm.
That was pretty amazing. Goose bumps here. Thank you for sharing hat!
I've heard of Larkin Poe, but I couldn't tell you which of the two ladies she was (or if they're a group with that name). The beauty of it is that it's a worldwide shared love of music.
Fantastic. And no Slim, Ringo never gets old. I can picture him 50 years from now, on tour with Keith Richards.
That is a great video. Thanks for posting. Didn't listen to the Staples, as that misses the whole point.
Larkin Poe is the band’s name. The blonde with the lap steel is Megan Lovell and the brunette with the guitar is her sister Rebecca Lovell.
Taimane Gardener is an internationally renowned ukulele virtuoso. Check her stuff out.
John Cruz is another contemporary Hawaiian music legend
Cool! More to check out on YouTube!
