I have had Falcon fever ever since I learned it was the only remaining Gretsch with a 25.5” in scale length. I wonder though why don’t they have a Falcon with single coils a Bigsby and double cut! Minus gold! Keep it chrome or nickel.

Country Gentleman is still 25.5, although the gold is still there.

I had to go check because thatnis what Inthought as well. The Gretsch website has several and not all day the neck is 25.5 some are less, isn’t that odd?

Hello. I'm cyanidesilly. And I'm a Falcoholic. First I just dabbled. Got a NM '78 Country Club. Scratched that hollow body itch. Felt great. For a while. Then I moved on to the stronger stuff. A 2002 White Falcon 7593. Oh sure. That was the end of it. I thought. But I was too far gone. Soon I moved on to the Holy Grail of Falcon gear. The NM 1977 Gretsch White Falcon 7593. And now for me, it's too late.

The only downside of Falcons is that the big body makes me look even smaller...
Btw.: Did I mention that I am Germany`s smallest giant?

Well I’m no giant, heck my 13 year old is bigger then I am now! But, I’m not going to let that stop me!

This one has Filtertrons, but TV Jones has pickups that’ll fit.

No, Bertotti : I can confirm that the Gretsch G6119 Tennessee Rose with open-F-Holes is also a 25"5 scale lenght (the other TR are 24"6 AFAIK), hence my G6119LH 125th Anniversary from 2008 :

I’m confused with the country gentlemen. On the Gretsch website two are 25.5 and the others are shorter maybe it is the players that are but when I went to a vendor site they were all 25.5. Maybe I’ve lost to many brain cells and miss read something. I’ll check again after a couple monsters!

Ok I double checked it is the 6122-6212 and 6122-62 that are short scale so being VS models can I assume that is how they were made in 1962?

Oh! And apologies I see my reply earlier is all kinds of messed up. I am trying to pay better attention and reread before posting!

True, englishman. No trace of the 25"5 TR anymore. And no LH available in the new version, seemingly...

    A+!

I notice the first time, that on Falcons without mud-switch, the single switch is totally misplayed ... looks ugly for my taste. Other than that, the black one looks stunning. Didn‘t know, that a model with only a master volume existed.
