Someone put this out with the trash and my buddy picked it up for me. A 5.00 jack and a little work and it works fine, not a bad little amp at all. I love free! Im gonna leave it down at my friends shop so's i have something to jam on, there's a Lotus Strat i fixed up down there too. 20180414_160038.jpg 20180414_160736.jpg

Right on, i wasn't expecting much but it really sounds good, loves the El Degas tele. I'm gonna have to go back in though as the clean channel volume pot is not working, its wide open. It took a hit to the input jack and the volume is right next to it, hopeful its just a solder connection.

Ive had pretty good luck with donation amps, i have a broken Vox Pathfinder10 and a Blackstar ID core 10 waiting to be repaired and was given a Fender Rumble 30 with a bad speaker and a Roland micro cube too. The Rumble has become my main Bass amp since i put a nice Eminence speaker in it, the Vox may be outta my league though, it kinda works just has real low output.
Most just have cold solder joints or busted pots or jacks.

    Gotta love free.

I got a '66 Guild Thunderbird amp a few years ago for free. 50 watts, 2X12" Jensens, huge 3' tall monster. The guy gave it to me because there was something"sparking" in back and the reverb didn't work. Thirty seconds to solder the wire on the extension speaker jack back on fixed the sparking issue, and a bit longer to solder a wire back on in the reverb tank. Sold it cheap to a friend, and I'm still money ahead.

I picked up one of those amps at a yard sale about 10 years ago. I didn't pay much for it, and I didn't really expect much. Honestly, I was just getting it to offer it to a nephew that had wanted to learn to play. Once I got it home and plugged it in, I was very surprised that it had a nice sound, and it was really loud for a 25w amp. My nephew was thrilled.

    Congrats!

Thanks guys, its pretty cool. It can hang with some pretty heavy company. It will be useful for me.

    Isn`t that great?
    Congrats.
This is what happened to me a vew years ago:
    I found a Marshall mosfet head on a trash-heap near a railway.
It was cosmetically o.k and worked perfectly.
Who would throw something like that away?
