What is it for? What does it do? How do you use it? Converts acoustics to Les Pauls?
tell me where they sell those, haha!!!! So funny, I've got to get my dad one... btw.. I'd polished off the electromatic logos on mine. Oh wait I did!
Did you stuck the nocturne pick onto the guitar?
Right? Only other guitarists will notice the headstock shape over the Epiphone logo. They are also the only ones likely to care about Epi vs. Gibby anyhow.
If I'm honest I think the Epi headstock is dreadfull to look at, but like the Electromatic decal it's sort of become a badge of honour thing to me.
It may be ugly, but it's my kind of ugly.
I don't think Electros are ugly. Somehow brash, yet classy. IMHO.
Just don't put gold hardware on it and we're good.
Obviously those are 2 different guitars. I would guess that the finished one came with that headstock.
As someone mentioned, the first MIJ Epis had the regular Gibson style headstock.
That "taupe" doesn't look like it's going to fit too well on the Custom.
I just hope that whoever uses these don't use them to deceive customers into thinking they're getting a rarer, more desirable, light years ahead in build quality and more expensive early MIJ Epi.
The serial number and other things(hardware) will tell the tale if the potential buyer is aware of what to look for.
Thanks for sharing this!!
I think Epi's are cool,i wish i still had the Sheraton my dad bought me when i was a teen.
Currently i own a 58 Epi V ,but don't have to worry about the aesthetics of the headstock on that!
nooo man, I want that cool moustache hat simply attached to the top of the epi, no overpainting.. like a toupe!!
Congratulations and thank you for the support. Is this the first book you have ever opened?
A head-stock toupee! What a great idea!
Maybe cause it's a pic of a real MIJ Epiphone. Not the same guitar that is toupee'd up, even though that is what they're suggesting.
Oh aye,i agree Rico,on the Epi LP Custom head that thing would look ridiculous if ya just glued it on,but if they just changed the head shape all would be cool ,in my eye anyway!
My Epiphone 1961 Reissue Casino already has a Gibson style headstock. I personally like it better but even if I had a Casino with the standard headstock I would be fine with it.
