I forgot when I started working at a music store Willie Dixon and I both registered for Fender acoustic when they first came out. We were employees but no one else registered. Well I won it and the owner gave it to me, I sold it to Willie for $5 , by the end of the day he had sold it for $60. He not only taught me blues, he taught me how to"sell hungry". I was 12.

And yet someone wins it pretty regularly. So I keep buying them. Nothing crazy. A ticket or two a month.

I won the love and trust of my partner for life, and that's all that matters.

No, wait, I won a bottle of Cinzano in a raffle in the 80s. That was even better!

I almost won a bicycle once in the 1970s in a funfair lottery. Our number was called on the lottery, on the day following our visit, but were weren't there to pick up the prize. After that I honestly don't recall winning anything worth mentioning. And probably not even anything not worth of mentioning. And I won't talk about women here.

Nothing ofsubstance...a few small door prizes...a free ticket in the lotto max occasionally...like tinman, roll up the rim for a free coffee or bagel. The bottle of Appleton Estates rum won at Christmas was probably the apex of my luck...

Haha, sorry i just can't stand it,it was a downer for my dad too as he loved it and played regularly up into his 30's.I did get to meet George Best and Pat Jennings through my dad.
I also went on a school trip to Old Trafford back in the early 80's ,i think it was 82/83 ,met all the players during the training and then the match on Saturday,UTD won 1-0 to Spurs!
Got to spend some time with Norman Whiteside who was a local Belfast guy,who just happened to know one of my teachers.
I only went for the craic though ,and it was good fun.

I was more into track and field ,running especially ,ya know ,the loneliness of the long distance runner and all that shizzle,i've always been a bit of a loner .

I couldn't run the length of myself these days though.

Won my grade school spelling bee competition at 9, competing against 12-year olds. Never won again, even when I was 12.

Three years ago I won our office Biggest Loser competition, after performing a 4-pound weight cut the morning of the final weigh in.
