Where did he get that neck? I want one!
I made it from scratch.
His is just over an inch at 1st and 12th.
He likes fat necks too.
Trying to figure out the pickguard. Making a template out of some.... stuff.
Cool, I can see something SG junior-ish on there.
Wow, those are big knots. Amazing they did not fall out... I like the top and body colour combo.
Yes, fine - I was thinking about something similar for my lefty SuperCharger in construction (retouched picture for shape study purposes - the hardware will be different) :
You may note that I slightly displaced the control plate in order to :
1 - avoid touching (turning/switching) inadvertently the controls while playing
2 - have an easy access to these controls with a tremolo arm (the guitar will receive a Super Tremola Duesenberg).
Concerning yours : I would not be so close to the soundhole and the lower horn, and leave some space with the surrounds of the body.
But it's me, OK ?
Yes, for sure. I have just started it and was getting the bridge control and neck cut going. Not sure how to get the telecaster neck pickup route in place.
Cool thread. Guitar looks great so far. Nice work.
Well, maybe I would try to simply place a Tele pickguard on your pickguard and trace the suitable routing...
If I had one
Shined it up and got the evertune installed. Probably have to pull it out again to get the wires in the tunnels.
Getting closer here.
Wow. This does not look anything like homemade anymore, David.
This is a Pro-Job. Respect. You get in a very cool side-profession with this and DrumBob`s.
Sometimes the passion wins over the technical means. Congrats, David.
Well I hope dead-roman is still around to pick up the guitar (and the tab!) - according to his profile he's not been seen around since early March!
Still if he's hot-footed it to an island paradise somewhere I'm sure there will be a few takers for this interesting masterpiece!
He managed to get himself permanently banned. I'm still in constant contact though, I tease him with pics a lot
As Freddie would say - And another one bites the dust!
