A Godlyke kit is on the way. I am ready for my Fuzz!
Hi Caeman..I've got the Godlyke and it works great. Only complaint is that the daisy chain connector can power 5 pedals. The Onespot has an 8 power connector string. I just aquired a BOSS chorus pedal and wished I had a few extra connectors.
On the positive side, a second 5 chain connector can be purchased seperately when you need it, and sooner or later you WILL need it.
BTW, sounds like your on your way to putting together a nice pedal arragement!
I cannot wait to see all of these shiney new pedals in action. I have this feeling that the Boss DS-1 will be retired and put up for sale. The deLisle Fuzz's sound samples seem to cover everything the Boss could do, and then giving so much more.
Yeah, that DeLisle Fuzz does sound good, and decent price too.
You should become a sales rep for Mugsy!
Nah, but I am willing to be honest about a product when I like...and when I don't. It is one of the benefits of being brand agnostic. I love my Behringer stuff. I loved the Dano pedals when I had them.
+1 to that!
If I didn't just pick up a used Monster Effects El Dorado, I'd be in line to get a DeLisle fuzz. I like his style. No cluttered graphics, lots of control for sounds, etc.
I've talked to Mugsy in the past about possible putting his Pentatone control into an FX box. Good guy, quick replies.
One of these days I'd love to try both the Pentatone control and the Fuzz.
which one did you get.. the deluxe kit is worth the $35, one daisy
chain has quite a few adaptors.. with one more added daisy chain you
could give the soundman a hand
I got mine about a year and a half ago. Obviously not the Deluxe kit. Got everythng except the 10 pedal link.
That is definitely the one to get.
The One Spot also has right-angled plugs.
So, Mugsy, can your fuzzbox nail those Ron Wood tones from his Faces days?
Something like this? I've heard that Ron didn't use any pedals. Supposedly a cranked Ampeg? But, yeah, I think you can get something like that out of this pedal.
Fuzz in time for Turkey Day! All three are shipping out today by Priority Mail. I have one left from this batch that could ship tomorrow. Just have to wire the board into the box.
Rock on! You da man!
And here is the manual:
de Lisle Fuzz Box Manual
The pedals have been picked up. You should have tracking numbers by now. If not, let me know and I'll send them.
Yup, I got my tracking number earlier today.
I've got the same big green box from about 1995..? It really gets that Inna-Gadda-da-Vida tone!
I need to get into a godlyke and/or a one-spot. Especially for my Nocturne, and BOSS pedals. I have batteries in my fuzz pedals which don't really drain power down in batteries.
Oops...missed that one. It can get pretty heavy. The "Oh Well" clip isn't quite maxed out.
That is so interesting because his tone in the Faces days was SO FUZZY. It doesn't sound as distorted to me as it does fuzzy. He used this sound with his electric fairly exclusively. I wonder if he "Link Wray-ed" his speakers?
Cool bit of info.
I have a black-box Russian Big Muff. I need to fire that baby up again. I loved how it sounded with my Epi LP that had the SD Antiquity humbuckers.
