    Jumping the gun here a little starting this thread.
    @section2 has contracted me to build him a cool guitar based on the Duo Jet.
    Parts arrived so far are binding, strap screws (Gretsch Style), Bigsby B3 and the fingerboard wood.

    Well, I say 'wood' but it's the Rocklite Sundari, so as to avoid CITES problems shipping to Canada.
    This is the first time I've seen it in person and I have to say it looks and feels like the real thing.

    Right now it's a little more expensive than real rosewood but I'm supposing that as reserves dwindle, that will change.

    Looking forward to seeing how this comes out!

    Looks excellent. Looking forward to watching as well, thanks for taking the time to document.

    Ran across this awhile back regarding fine woods;

    I think you're going to like this guitar. It's going to be blue!

    Interesting, and a good watch. Very informative. Thanks for posting this.

    Sounds like a cool build. Interested in the Rocklite products. Looked them up, I see they have an ebony alternative too. Could be some cool stuff.

    Looking forward to seeing the project progress.

    Rocklite doesn't discuss their manufacturing methods but it's constructed from wood fibers apparently, rather than the resin-and-cardboard Richlite versions.
    But yeah, not real rosewood but looks and acts just like it.

    I've got almost everything I need for this build now, did a little prep work on it today as I'm still kinda spacey from the road trip and I don't want to paint or touch sharp objects lol.

    The Schaller bridge fit the Allparts rosewood base so that's cool.

    Wood came in and I transferred the outline to it. Going to do a lot of chambering.

    Could there be a pin router in your future, that looks kinda tedious.
