It turns out I like Thai curry, the green stuff. I just bought some to try making my own but haven't done so yet. I have been buying tasty bite Thai vegetable curry for a quick I have to run meal. Dog gone I almost don't feel as good if I don't eat some every week. What is it about curry?

No help from me. I'm not an adventurous eater. Meat and potatoes guy. My idea of stepping out of the box is a Mexican/American restaurant, not even authentic Mexican. I would have to change your sentence to reflect an entirely new meaning of Thai foods and runs.

Sorry, no. Even the smell of curry gives me the creeps. But I like winter :D.

Love curry! Thai green, Thai red, Madras, vindaloo, you name it.

One surprise we received when we moved to the country was that our closest town has an excellent Thai restaurant. We eat their green curry regularly. Now if I can just find a nearby Indian restaurant with similarly high quality.

Curry is the bomb. So is Vindaloo. And Korma. And...all things Indian and Thai.

BUT...don't hesitate to try Ethiopian. Try some Lamb Fir Fir.

There was something about curry that never sounded appetizing enough to try early in life, don’t know why. I then tried a Vietnamese chicken curry... and bam! It removed my ignorance and now I love curry, be it Asian or Indian.

I had an authentic India curry about 10 years ago.
It tasted really nice but looked like puke.
After the meal I had a very unenjoyable night in my bathroom.
    Never again.

Later I heard that there are some combinations of Indian curry spices that have a toxic effect on some European people. Especially on their livers.
    Aha...

I like curry, unfortunately it doesn't like me. I used to eat a lot of hot and spicy but something happened when I turned 40 and let's just say it messes with my plumbing these days.
Sigh....I miss the stack of hot banana peppers on my food.

My wife and I split the cooking, I enjoy cooking so I probably cook 4 or 5 times a week, and I use curry most of the time. I've never tried Thai curry, I'll have to get some.

The first time I went to an Indian place, I went with a co-worker who was born in India and I let them help me choose from the menu. He chose very safe things for me, but one of the things he got himself looked like a dog threw up in the bowl. Within a couple of months I was ordering it myself. :D

Mixed curry fan here. Love it but I don't like coconut, which is common in South East Asian curry. I prefer Indian style curries for that reason and regularly make Japanese curry. I used to make thai style curry with coconut particular when I was in Australia.

Oh lordy, I worked in India off and on for about a year. You would not believe some of the things that came to pass.
