I toyed with the idea of a chopped B5 or B16, floating bar bridge and adjust the neck angle accordingly. Not sure if the math would work out though. Enough body depth to get the angle and such. Pretty sure it could be done with some finagling.

I really don't like the looks of those. They look like an afterthought.

It is tough. I much prefer a tremolo equipped guitar, though the choices are sometimes hard. I’m not saying go with Stetsbar. It IS big, and it IS expensive......but MAN is it a wonderful experience.........I think it’s the best playing tremolo I’ve ever felt.

    What about a Wigsby? :D

I've got a Les Trem knocking around that you can have if you want it.

I'm pretty sure I've got a jazz/jag trem too if you want it.

Man, I had such high hopes for that thing. Thanks for the offer, if I go that way I'll get hold of you.

So apparently, magna'tron pickups do not exist outside of the 5135. To be honest I've never heard one of them outside of the computer speakers.
I'm inclined to go with power'trons given the rock n roll brief.

What would you think appropriate here?

I've got a G.Love with Power'Trons and a 5135 with Mega'trons. Mega's are definitely brittle and gnarly - like a Filter'Tron on crystal meth. The Power'trons are warmer and more refined - like a Filter'tron with good bourbon and cigar.

I have a powertron plus in my 65 Corvette, I do like the sound of them.

I pulled the muddy Power'trons from my Jet and sold them. Replaced them with Filter'trons and never looked back. I put TVJ Classics in my Corvette. Love them in there.

And Mega'trons are only available OEM. If you need to replace one you have to send the old one in.

Another G.Love owner here and it's definitely my rawk guitar. I'd prefer 1 meg pots with the Power'Trons but it sounds great, especially the in between setting which has an oddly Strat position 2/4 kind of tone.

What do you guys think of this?

Just in case you don't see it, it's the Corvette 60s headstock, only a mirror image (the four is supposed to be on the treble side).
The 2 + 4 headstock disturbs me a little as it just looks backwards. I'm thinking of going with this look as it's kinda traditional, but corrected so to not to disturb my Feng shui.

I have to agree. That does look better than the other. Maybe just because I'm so used to Fender headstocks.

Just to save others from doing the google search like I did.

Come get a good deal on this Vox and you can play my Megatrons in my CVT :) Magnatrons are the TV jones with Rodmagnets.

The only issue with the 4/2 vs the 2/4 is that Music Man's signature headstock is the 4/2.

I like the original, but there’s nothin wrong with the Fender-ish style either.
