That was Sylvain Sylvain's from the Dolls, and Malcolm aquired it and passed it to Ashman i believe.
Certainly one of the coolest.
That sounds right in terms of connecting the dots in terms of the people and the period. Ashman’s was a Baldwin era Gretsch with the ugly (IMO) 70s tremolo and trapezoid fret markers. I cant find a photo of Sylvain with that guitar but maybe he had a couple?
I thought this one turned out pretty cool. My Red Sparkle Duo Jet, also my avatar on G-T:
There's one even cooler.
This one right here!
To me, ultimate Poison Ivy pics where during the "Date With Elvis" tour with her kinda bellydancer outfit and crown in her curly hair. That one is from the Paris Zenith concert on 1986, May 12th
I was there!
Still wonder what's my preferred Bo Diddley one:
Anytime, his Gretsch is center pic!
Think I have to select yours too.
But what's cool?
Her first album/tour with her Gretsch!
Looks like Art Garfunkel and Lou Reed had an angry son together...pardon my ignorance...who is it?
This is pretty darn cool!
It is Lou Reed.
I think the second one. You can't tell, but he's actually asleep. With sunglasses on. THAT is cool.
He's just playing the same chord over and over. I thought you had to know 3 chords to be a rock star.
This one is pretty cool...
