After you're done with that, order a spicy and put some Texas Pete on there. Then PM me and thank me. ;)

This just might in fact be the most depressing thing I've ever read.

There was an urban myth that KFC chickens were emulated chickens.

And by "emulated" they mean, "don't ask why you never see stray animals around our 'restaurants.'"

Unfortunately, there are no Chick-Fil-A outlets convenient to my travels. I would eat there over almost any other choice if there were. I've never been disappointed at Chick-Fil-A.

Now, there's my nomination for best forum comment of all time. :)

Chick-fil-a sauce and Polynesian sauce are
Both great. I usually get chicken strips. And the waffle fries dipped in the Chick-fil-a sauce is where it's at. Great lemonade also.

So sorry-- I have a brand new Chick-fil-A store less than 2 miles from my home. There's one other in my town about 5-6 miles away, in a much more congested area of town. Thank God for the new one virtually in my back yard!

Oh, the other thing about Chick-fil-A... and it's well-known ... If you go there during the Summer, be careful NOT to go between the hours of 11:30am and 1:00pm-- Why, you ask? I'll tell you why...

Chick-fil-A is THE NUMBER ONE Soccer Mom hangout during the summer. If you go there between the aforementioned hours, the parking lot will be filled with SUV's and Minivans, the drive-thru will be wrapped completely around the building (blocking any available parking in the process), and the inside will be filled with kids ranging from toddler-age to 11-12 years old-- Soccer moms running around trying to control the various masses of unruly children that they brought in for lunch. And it's like this for at least 2 hours every Mon-Fri between the end of May and the first of August.
At first I thought it was a fluke, maybe just the one store I visited. But NO. I travel around the mid-Tennessee area every day for work... Virtually every Chick-fil-A store within a 50 mile radius (and we have quite a few) is like this in the summer! Obviously it's not like this while school is in session... but Fall and Spring break weeks are just as bad.

    :D:p

You are so on for that. Chicken in the Rough could become a pilgrimage.

Indeed you are correct. Haugen's is very good but the big question, given that it's in the middle of nowhere, how do you know about it?

Swiss Chalet is OK but Chik-Fil-A is better.
