Try something cool: What about a Smoker mod?
It's where the head bends past the nut. Gibsons have tuning unsuitability because of the tilt.
I was wondering if Harley Benton fixed that. Your guitar is beautiful.
I would def want one At that price point I can get locking tuners if I get one.
Looks nice! Congrats on the new purchase!
Not having a Protractor to hand but having an internet from where to print one. Roughly 15 degrees.
How does that compare with a Gibbo?
17 Degrees for a modern Gibson, 14 for an Epi.
There was a time Gibson used 14 on their non CS guitars, but personally I find it all pretty irrelevant for tuning issues.
A properly cut nut, from proper nut material, proper dry lube, proper tuners, using a proper locking wind, and anyone can have proper stable tuning.
@Limuz , what tuners did you install on yours and was there much drilling involved?
I still have the originals on there. Adjusted the screw a bit on some and decided I wasn't all that bothered by them.
one of mine seem to turn, turn, turn (no change in pitch), turn (big change in pitch)
Anyhoo, seen Sperzel EZ-Mount that are appealing to me
Would that be the B tuner by any chance
I reckon you might be on to something there
Locking tuners are ordered Unfortunately they are coming from the US so I am going to get stung on customs charges
