Doing a setup on a brand new guitar.

Squier Bullet FSR from GC for $180.

Owner is going to try and learn to play on it. Action was crappy when he picked it up from GC and wanted a setup.

After some tweaking, it really does play nicely.
Really, just toss in some OK pickups and anyone could go gig with this. Great value!!

The hardest thing was resisting the temptation to pull the plastic off the pickup and scratch guard.

    Teles are my fav!

Should a plank and a bolt on really ever cost so much?

Cool that you can help a player tune in their guitar, E-man.

I have a Squier VM Jaguar that I got a couple of years ago. I've said it before, and I'll say it again . . . Squier has upped their game. When I first started playing, Squier quality definitely needed some attention, especially at the lowest end of their line. Now, they've added several higher quality lines, and even the lower end line have shown improvement. I assume the guitar manufacturers realized that during the tough economy the lower price guitars would sell better, so they took steps to improve the quality.

We live in a golden age of affordable geets. I have a Squier Bullet Strat that's all kinds of fun to play.

Give her credit; she was probably just so enamored by your amazing guitar playing, she forgot about recording it...or she was to busy waving the lighter back and forth

First of all I had the plastic on my pick guard on my 6120-1959 for about 4 years until drumbob came along and pealed it off ... wanted to ring his neck
Second ... I've been eyeballing a the Baja Tele ( yes it comes with a nice gig bag / case and a jack plate :p) for some time now since I emailed @TSims1 about 6 months ago asking what would be a good Tele for me . ( nothing wrong with what you have there Eman ) So yesterday I found one on Facebook Marketplace for $650 . Emailed the person and do you believe there's NO CASE included and not much room for negotiation . Believe it or not ... no deal on my end . $650 for the guitar - decent case is about $100 now I'm up to $750 .... for another $49.99 I'll buy new from Sweetwater
    Nice Tele Eman

    Rich,
You can find used American Standard Teles all day in the $700 and up range...all come with HSCases and yes...jack plates

Fender American standard telecaster - musical instruments - by owner - sale

Baja's are very cool Teles but they are MIM and usually don't come with a case...possibly a gig bag. For the price, I would go used American Standard, unless you find a Baja in the $500 range with HSC..then I would consider it

Yea , knew you were working on it . What ya gunna do with all that money ? :p .... one time I did some electrical work for a friend of a friend . He was handicapped . I didn't charge him that much to begin with . He gave me a $5 tip also . That $5 was worth more to me then anything . He passed away a few years back . Sure do miss him
