    Hey everyone,

    I stand a pretty good chance at getting a used 6128TCG or a 6129T 57.

Just curious to see what everyone prefers.

I've seen a silver sparkle '59 in the flesh and it was beautiful, so I lean toward that, but I don't think I've ever seen a 6128 or Country Club Caddy Green in person.

I look forward to passionate preferences that only a Gretsch can deliver!

Caddy Green for me. I'm just not a sparkly type of guy.

I have two sparkles, a red and a gold but I have to say my preference is toward the coloured sparkles, not 'plain' silver.

The green is a little more upscale with gold hardware and a Synchrosonic bridge. Of course, the true test comes when you play them so try to get your hands on before buying. Weights may vary and neck profiles may vary.

Silver Sparkle is glitz-trash(in the really good way!)and Cadillac Green is beautiful. Choose your poison.

I love sparkle jets and the green looks classy although gold hardware shows wear easier. Is this guitar for gigging or home use? If gigging the Silver may or may not be suitable depending on what event you’re playing and if you want to stand out.

Both are beautiful. The right answer is the one that looks best to you, but if I were choosing, there'd be no contest: silver sparkle, hands down. There's just nothing as eye-catching as a sparkle top.

I'll live vicariously and urge you to get the caddy green Country Club because I want one so bad.

Cadillac Green all day long for me.

I'm too old for silver for a start. My only Gretsch is Caddy Green. There are a helluva lot more silver Jets around than Caddy Green ones... at least I've seen a lot more. It's just a classier appearance.

Silver sparkle contains magic fairy dust that improves tone! Honestly you have to live with it. So pick whatever you like best. I like bright guitars because guitars lean toward darker colors in general. And I’m looking down playing....I like to see something bright. Sparkle.

I'm probably leaning towards the silver sparkle for now with the dream of a used Country Club down the road.
