The fun part begins.
Well it was going pretty good until I managed to bounce something heavy off the top and put a huge ding in it.
Pretty depressed about it. I'll try and spot fill when I can be more optimistic.
Cheer up. It's looking cool!!
Walking away and letting your head settle is a good tactic.
Hope you come up with a solution.
I'm not seeing the ding but I am digging the vibe this guitar is giving.
Ok.... ummm.... here goes
This one is fighting me every inch of the way lol. Looks like I'll have to shim the neck a tad.
What happened to DR`s built, David?
Looks like a different guitar from the back lol
That's my guitar, that is.
I'm so madly stoked, it's like I'm having another baby. And E-man is my wife.
Breathe, David, breathe.
Actually, the guitar reminds me the real Mrs Bee.
It looks great from the back. And it's got two knobs.
Still on. Waiting for the templates for the evertune bridge. This build and then Drumbob's and then the DR build is the sequence.
So, threw on a set of 10s and then plugged it in, no setup, no intonation, nothin'
Surf's up, and it's a wipeout!
Looks like a very nice nut-cut job, David. IMO you are a first-class nutter!
That looks and sounds great!
Still needs a little filing (yes, I got the joke).
Dave, that sounds really good, but what do the four Veg-o-Matic switches do?
In theory, they give humbucker / single coil / series parallel for each pickup, if I drew the circuit right. So they probably don't do anything.
The pickguard has always reminded me of something, and I've only just worked it out. Salamander.
It's looking great, far more sexy than I'd ever imagined. I am way way way beyond thrilled.
Now all we've got to do is find a carrier that we can trust to ship it to the UK without mullering it.
