Wow...there’s a new line from Blackstar- single ended valve amps with some solid state magic inside (and I‘m a purist and wouldn‘t care normally for stuff like that) but the 6L6 version sounds incredibly good!

I have two both of the MKII series
HT Club 40 watt and HT Studio 20 watt
Convincing digital reverb , 4 voices, 10% wattage reduction , effects loop, headphone out not great but usable.
I have been eyeing the 10 watt 6L6

The clean and crunch tones from the 6L6 are paramount. And this is a budget amp made in china. Unbelievable.

Low wattage amps are great fun. And easier to carry!
Nice share, that thing sounded great!

Much easier to carry yes - unless you've got a Vox AC :)

Just checked it out a bit more....it has an fx loop, a proper 12" speaker, and jacks for an extension speaker. Lots there for the price.

Looks like a little beauty from Blackstar :)

With this 6L6 model looks like they are going for a 1st class US style clean tone but still keeping good tonal versatility. Blackstar have not previously been known for really outstanding cleans so this little guy maybe the start of an effort to rectify that.

Well all the ACs are absurdly heavy for small watt amps but the 10 and 15 in particular are non options for me :)

Those amps sound great! Blackstar makes some great products. I just purchased the Blackstar 10v2 practice amp to replace my aging Roland Cube 20 practice amp. The 10v2 is a ten watt stereo amp with several settings, clean warm, clean bright, crunch, supercrunch, overdrive 1 and2, plus has reverb, delay, and modulating effects. Normally it's about $ 109.00, but I bought mine on sale at Guitar Center for $89.00. This amp carries a big punch but also sounds great at low volume. Also has a USB port. Definitely recommend it for those looking for a great practice amp. IMG_20190530_235808.jpg IMG_20190530_235800.jpg

Yeah, that AC15 is a beast. There should be a law mandating the use of pine cabinets.

Well Vox in general has zero regard for weight or versatility imo.
They found their signature chimey tone 50 yrs ago and haven't progressed since.
They obviously think they don't need too cos people keep buying their amps anyway :)
