    Hey groovers,
I'm finding my 5235T doesn't have the 'twang' I want. It seems a bit 'wooly'...in fact my LP is brighter.

Pickups are P90's, pots are Bourns 500K and orange Drop .22 cap. Pickup heights seem ok...

Would a 'better' bridge help? Maybe a different nut? Any suggestions?

Different value pots will brighten it up too.

Surely 500k is enough for a P90 though? Can go to 1m I guess if I can find one - has to be a mini to fit....

P90s, "twangy"? Not the first thing I think of...

1Meg is a long shot. Electronic parts shops will have the minis.

What would be the first thing you think of if someone says 'P90'?

Try shimming the pickups up closer to the strings.

Full, punchy, fat. In that order.
