Anybody ever paint a pickup bobbin?

    I wanna put a Duncan QP in one of my guitars and its only available in black, all the other stuff is yellowed white plastic. So i might paint one, anyone do it before?

    I thought the plastic pickup covers on strat type pickups come off. Perhaps you can find another cover that fits. From the SD site:

    They come off, but the Duncan is actually the same size as a Strat pickup cover so it just fits the guard.

    I thought Quarterpounders didn't have covers?

    Lol, ok so you're looking straight at the fiber flatwork. That stuff is impregnated to ward of dirt and moisture. That's gonna take some elbow grease!

    Ah, I see. I guess you could get black covers for the other pickups.

    Yeah, if look is a consideration, anything less than stellar job is probably gonna ruin it for you.
