Graham Parker is my second favorite musical artist (after The Beatles.) I've seen him in concert multiple times. I think there are some GP fans here.

In honor (or honour) of the 40th Anniversary of Squeezing Out Sparks, he appeared on The Word in Your Ear podcast from the UK. Very funny, tells his life story and talks about his music.

I toured with GP and the Rumour as the sound system engineer on the 1978 & 1979 tours of Australia. The band was fantastic, Brinsley Schwarz and Martin Belmont were great players and good people. I love GP's songs, my favorite was "Don't Ask Me Questions"

Graham Parker is great! Way better than that other “new wave” guy with glasses. I think his name is Elvis or something?

I have Squeezing or Sparks on vinyl and a few of his other albums on cassette.

The album Human Soul is awesome.
This is one of the best tracks. The lyrics are inspired!

If they are your second favorite after the Beatles, who is the first favorite? ;)

The Lansing Lug Nuts are a minor league baseball team, just like the Fort Wayne Tin Caps or the Toledo Mud Hens.

When it comes to being a minor league band, we are as minor league as it gets. :)

My only exposure to Graham Parker came through a cover. One of my all-time favourite bands is a Canadian group called The Watchmen. Their singer, Daniel Greaves, does an a capella cover at every show. I've seen him do Billy Bragg, Lyle Lovett, The La's... but a couple of times, he's done Graham Parker's "Three Martini Lunch." The first time I heard it, the song just knocked me out.

When GP played in Toronto a few years ago at the legendary Horseshoe Tavern, Daniel sang with him on stage. I'm told that Danny is a big fan.

I have been a Graham Parker fan since the early eighties. Discovering Japan is my favorite song of his.
