Stock alu bridge? I think it came with a generic TOM bridge.
If you use the Bigsby you could do worse than a Schaller roller bridge

I have a 5125, 5126, 5129 (and soon a 5128) with the stock bridges. I would think that would be an improvement however mine work just fine with the stock bridges.

I would choose a Schaller over the stock TOM bridge and probably spend the money elsewhere.

These came with the compensated alloy Bigsby rocking bridge. I quite like 'em.

    Same. Made mine come alive.
I went with stainless steel. She sustains almost supernaturally.

Ha, I never noticed that, good to know. All of the old 51xx series or just the Dyna equiped models?

I bought the guitar used and I never got to hear it with the original bridge. Chances are my old ears might not hear the difference anyway.

The aluminum bigsby bridges came on the 5124-29 models that have the floating bridge and b60. I don’t know WHAT came on the 5124-29’s with the b70 from the peerless factory. I have one of those, but the bridge had been replaced long before it came to me.
Maybe someone can inform us all?

Cheap TOM copy, that's what my early 2126 came with.

I replaced with an inexpensive roller bridge off the 'Bay a few weeks after receiving the guitar. This was pre-Tru-Arc and Comptons. In all honesty, the guitar sounds so good, I have been reluctant to part with any more dollars chasing tone. Although, I have been tempted time and again!

Wow, I needed more coffee the other day... That was supposed to be a 5127, not 2126...

A stainless steel Tru-Arc and those DeArmond pickups are a great combination.
