Wow, I know the speaker south... these are the scorpions which came with peavey amps. You know these are ElectroVoice inspired, so I can sell, they're good and steady.

That's going to look and sound great. I'd keep the Peavey speakers myself. I had a 2X12 Classic 50 ('70s hybrid amp with the aluminum strips on the cab) and they sounded great. They seemed a lot like EVMs to me.

I hope it does, I am keepin the scorpions. I still have the renown (it has electronic issues) so might put them back n use it as a cab in the shop.

Loud, lol , I will put it through some paces today and I have a half hour loop I made of all kinds of music, I will play that through it at different volumes to help break the speakers in.

Love it, but I would replace the Marshall badge on the front.

I am torn on that, I kinda like it plain but a gold Marshall emblem does look good.
Thats one vote for put the emblem on.

Good plan. The C-Rex speakers normally take 20+ hours to break in and the GB128s only a little less. I have a room in my basement away from the people and I'll throw a thick blanket over the cab and run a 50w solid state into it for about two full days at half power.

Do you know the Febreeze trick?

OK. Get a spray bottle of Febreeze. Dilute it 50/50 with water and spray your speaker cones on both sides. Not soaked but lightly damp. Let it dry - takes about 1/2 hour.

Reinstall. Cuts the break-in time by about half.

I keep a bottle in my music work room. It really works. Be careful of the paper cones when they are wet as they are fragile then but they dry quickly. Smell nice too :)
