Yep me too! I have a 1971 Epiphone 12 string and a 1979 Rick 330 12 - both great guitars.
I have a 12 string Grestch on the way lol.
I learned they made their first 12 at the request of the Monkees, specifically Nesmith.
Seems I've seen some of those pics before
Nice 12 strings. Think I will try playing or carrying a tune in a bucket, before I try a 12 stringer.
You're correct , no case on the D'Angelico 12 Stupid Deal of The Day . That deal is the Premier Fulton . The one I posted ( photo ) is the Excel Fulton ( comes w/case ) which I played at their showroom in NYC . If anyone gets the chance to go to the D'Angelico Showroom , you'll love it ( call ahead ) . A great staff and so many guitars . They've really come a long way
I owned a double neck Mosrite for a couple of days back around 68. Never again.
Oh you're killin' me here . Only thing I don't like are those pick-ups . They just look so cheap
A few Rickenbacker's!
Mike Rutherford replica 12 /4
That's what im talkin' bout!!!
I dig's the Epi man, never seen that one.
Well, since this threads still goin i think ill show my two 12's......they're some real sweet guitars, very musical and inspiring and that's what really counts in my book.
My Eman made Astro 12
my 1969 Harmony made Barclay 12 with a vintage DeArmond 1200 pickup and a Tonewood amp installed.
Thanks, man. I got it used back in like 88 or so. I never knew much about it, but I dug it out a few weeks ago and looked up the serial and model. Turns out it's a mid-70s model and aside from one ding just below the bridge it's pretty mint. It's the only acoustic i've ever owned, oddly enough.
That is cool . . .
fwiw, Ian Bairnson was a session guitarist before joining with David Paton to form Pilot . . .
and in the band's hit single 'Magic' (#5US #11 UK), Ian uses mostly the 6-string side 'cept for the cool interlude riff up on top with the 12-twanger.
Bairnson became "one of the core members" of The Alan Parsons Project.
Two necks here below . . . is that a 6 string and bass ! ?
Red Rubber Ball - The Cyrkle (1966)
Just love it when you post the old forgotten songs Jena , thanks I enjoyed it
Yeah, not a 12 I know, but I just stumbled on this yesterday. Certainly a novel take on double neck guitars. fwiw, enjoy!
